Registration for the 29th edition of the Hoogeveen Chess Tournament is now open via the registration form.
This year, the tournament will take place from Saturday, October 10 through October 17. The format will be the same as last year, featuring a four-player competition between four top chess players. The organizers are currently working on securing an exciting line-up of players.
The Hoogeveen Chess Tournament is suitable for virtually every chess player, from experienced casual players and beginning club players to stronger amateurs. Participants can register for one of three tournaments: amateur tournaments in the morning and afternoon, and the Hoogeveen Open, which includes international participants.
For the amateur tournaments, the maximum rating is 2100. For the Open tournament, a minimum rating of 2000 applies.
